Until recently based in London with a studio at the Chocolate Factory, Hackney. Now lives in Penzance with shared workspace at Gaolyard Studios, St Ives. Rick trained at the University of Westminster, Harrow (1993-96). Other fields of work have included silver jewellery making, antique restoration, therapeutic massage and garden design. He makes vases and bowls in stoneware clay to which he applies black and white glazes that have a silky smooth finish. Rick produces a similar range of work in white eathenware, but to these he applies brightly coloured clay slips and a shiny glaze. All Rick's ceramics are individually thrown and turned.
