About Exhibitions Commissions Awards Press Outlets
Growing up in the extreme wilderness, tranquillity and natural beauty of Exmoor has been my inspiration. This environment stimulated my imagination and gave me the freedom to be adventurous.

My fascination with steam bending began by chance whilst studying at Falmouth College of Arts. The vision for many of my designs came from my primary interest in structural materials, wood and its changeable states. After a couple of years of research and experimentation, I developed a new steaming method, which allowed my previous conceptual ideas to be achieved. To date this method has produced many of my recognisable pieces such as the Chaise Longue.

As co founder of sixixis, I put into practice my technology and work ethics. This allowed my partners and I to create a company, which specialised in transforming local wood into contemporary design products. Sixixis became recognised for its unique aesthetic, forward thinking designs; achieving awards in creating innovative work as well as contributing towards sustainable design.

My degree and the award winning sixixis allowed me to develop further, and specialise in the designing and making of pioneering, ecologically sound furniture and products. I produce pieces based on beauty and integrity; hoping each piece is treasured and appreciated for a lifetime or more.
