Taking inspiration from living in West Cornwall, Richard creates contemporary free standing and wall hanging stained glass art pieces. He tries to ensure that each piece, whether personally inspired or for commission, draws people to respond to it both holistically and analytically. Richard first started working with stained glass ten years ago. Largely self taught, he moved to Cornwall from the frenetic South East in 2003 to focus on and develop his art. Each art piece is made in the traditional way with coloured glass and lead came, but by utilising 21st Century technology, remains stunningly beautiful with or without natural light.
