My design work is driven and inspired by observations and insights into daily living.  Looking at micro environments and space where objects can exist.  My innovation is to generate solutions that are born out of a particular place.  The materials and techniques I use to create work are intentionally kept simple in order to maintain the emphasis on the idea and assist a sustainable approach.  The materials are used in an intuitive way, and often serve to ‘rethink’ the nature of the object while making a commentary on life, an environment or a situation.  They range from leather, felt, timber, and ceramic, often incorporating recycled materials with as little processing as possible. 

Kitchen Tong 
Two pieces of sycamore can be used individually to stir and mix or together as a pair of tongs utilising the spring in the timber.
