Create a design-led game
Design-led Games

Deadline for proposals - Monday 11 June

The aim of the design-led games is to engage the public with design, as well as provide a richer and wider design experience for visitors than just seeing and purchasing design products. We would like the design-led games to inspire, amuse, inform, educate, entertain, challenge and subvert.

The brief
To invent a design-led game, competition or activity, which will be run at the Hidden Art Cornwall Design Fair 2007. Think fun, witty, a modern take on an old idea, interactive, design icons, silly, innovative, amusing, ironic, making, performance, trails, recycled…… The world of design is your oyster!

Criteria
  • The game must be suitable for either children, adults or both
  • The game must be able to be run within a 3 x 9m gazebo on grass
  • You have a materials budget of £50
  • Visitor numbers could be anything from 2-5000 visitors over the 3 days of the event so it must be a game that could be run either daily, hourly or ongoing
  • Power could be provided
  • The game could be run by either an individual or a group
  • You could charge up to 50p a go!
  • You can use the Design Centre to create your games between the 14th-end of June.
