In 2006 Hidden Art Cornwall ran a programme of monthly Networking Sessions. These sessions ran on the first Wednesday of the month from 6-8pm, in Truro and provided an informal forum for members to network with other designer-makers. Each session focused on a different area of business support, with presentations from guest speakers, and open discussions.

An overview of methods for promoting your business more effectively, including planning your PR strategy, how to take good photographs, develop your professional image and use a website to raise your profile.

Find out about how to protect your designs, with tips on design rights and artistic copyright. As well as information on how to patent a design.

Exporting and International opportunities
Learn about sources of funding available to exhibit or research international markets as well as tips on exporting and exhibiting abroad, developing international contacts and research opportunities.

Exhibiting at trade and retail fairs
How to plan a successful event including tips on selling and displaying your work, how to get selected for key events and information on some of the major fairs out there.
Wednesday 5th July, 6-8pm
Approaching manufacturers
Develop confidence with approaching manufacturers, how to find the right manufacturer for you, managing the development process and how to ensure a quality final product.

Hidden Art Forum
This 2 day annual event in London brings experts together to present and discuss opportunities within the design industry and ways of accessing them.
Hidden Art Cornwall will be arranging some subsidised transport up to this event.
